We’re running into an issues that seem to be specific to Catalina, but who knows… Could use some suggestions.
Only one Mac will display secondary windows, like ‘Modify Job Properties’ or respond to user requests, like ‘Requeue Task’. The one machine that does show those windows and respond to those actions had Deadline installed locally at some point. That installation has been removed though. The rest of the machines are using Monitor through a rez package. The application is copied locally to each machine, just not through the normal installer.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
That’s quite the issue!
Could you try a regular installation? I wonder if that one working Mac has some libraries left over from the original install that let it work properly.
Also, what version are you on?
That was going to be my first experiment.
Using 10.1.2.2.
Following up on this as the solution ended up coming for free, sort of.
The difference between the laptop that just worked and the other environments, an iMac Pro and a Mac Pro, is that I was using only a Wacom tablet on the iMac Pro and Mac Pro. I happened to hook up a Magic Trackpad to the Mac Pro, and low and behold, Monitor started responding as it should when I clicked or right clicked with the trackpad. If I try the same actions using the Wacom stylus, it skips the actions pretty much as expected. The weird behavior is that that when using the Wacom, menus will pop up, so the right click down is being recognized, but then selecting ‘Modify Job Properties’, for example, doesn’t do anything.
So the issue can be narrowed down to working with a Wacom with menus.
