Serious Bug? - Solved

I have just installed the v2.2.0.51871 and i can say almost nothing works, color override, lights, ect…

I can tell from your images that something is wrong. Unfortunately, I can’t tell what is wrong from these renders. We try very hard to ensure nothing is broken between versions, so I would like to get to the bottom of this.

Quick questions about your scene. Please confirm one of the two:

  1. Are there lights in your scene?
    or
  2. Is “Emission” enabled?
    Note: If there are lights, you will need a non-black “Color” channel. If emission is on, you will need a non-black “Emission” channel.

Can you provide a reproduction case:

  1. Either a scene that demonstrates the rendering dependency between Krakatoa versions. I suspect it is a problem with scenes saved with the old version, being loaded into the new version.
    or
  2. Some steps I can take to reproduce the problem.

Optional information (if you have it):

  1. What is the source of your particles (prt files in a PRT Loader?).
  2. What channels do your particles have? (eg. “Position”, “Color”, “Emission”, etc.)

this scene is old, made it with previous build (the one i wrote)

but when i have update it to latest build i got black renders as u can see, 1st i thought it was the light so i have increase the intensity to 100000 (i dont know) still nothing,

tried to change overwrite color, nothing, so far the only thing that worked was the final pass dens. and exponent

  1. Spot light,
  2. emission is off

its prt loader, prt’s are from naiad, i could upload prt so you can check

just tried again, not working, i set everything to white, and i still get the black render, i mean black dots…

The particles you gave me appear to render as expected when I add a light… So I’m still not able to debug the scene just yet.

Is there any way you could send me the scene file? I would like to try tracking down the problem.

Unfortunately, this scene renders as white particles for me.

I have sent you (private message) our latest build. I am hoping that this build will not have the same issue. Can you try rendering using the build I sent you?
