Shadow on Geometry and video post

When rendering with video post, it doesn’t save shadow on geometry(“shadow on geometry on”) with particles. Also when rendering as default(not with video post) it adds shadow as projector map in spotlight and render with scanline renderer but i can’t get alpha for shadow. How can i generate alpha for shadow on geometry?

Video Post?



Autodesk tries to remove it from Max every year since Max 3 and I fight to keep it there, but frankly nobody should touch that except for basic compositing. Krakatoa does not support Video Post in any form.



Until we add better Render Elements support, I don’t think you can easily get alpha from projected shadows. What exactly are you trying to do?

I usually use video post a lot to increase or decrease animation length. it works great for that.



Here i attached two files. in first it shows rendering. and second is projected shadow i get using krakatoa shadow utility but i want to generate alpha for that shadow like you get with default scanline renderer and matte materials.
