Hi all!
Im having problems with omni lights shadows. In documentation there is list of all supported lights: [thinkboxsoftware.com/krak-cameras-lights/](http://www.thinkboxsoftware.com/krak-cameras-lights/) including omni light, but I cant get it to cast krakatoa shadows (only normal shadows) in Scanline or Vray. EXR is created. Paths are ok.
I know that omni lights dont work in voxel rendering mode but Im using particle rendering mode.
With spot and direct light everything is fine.
Using Krakatoa1.6.1.44739 from Downloads and Max 2012.
It works for me, but I am using a newer build. Will have to try with the build you are using to see if there was an actual bug in there.
Here is what I did:
*Created a Teapot, converted to PRT Volume.
*Created a Plane beneath it.
*Set Teapot to Hidden.
*Created an Omni light, enabled shadow casting.
*Set Omni to Krakatoa Shadows generator with default settings.
*Set Renderer to Krakatoa, set output path to ShadowTestOmni_.exr
*Enabled >Save Attenuation Maps option in Krakatoa GUI.
*Rendered a frame.
*Switched to Scanline.
*Switched the output path to ShadowTestOmni_Scanline_.exr
*Rendered a frame.
RESULT: The frame buffer showed the plane with a shadow from particles on it.
Confirmed with 1.6.1 - looks like it was broken in that version.
The good news is this works in the current 2.0 Beta build, and we are a few weeks from release.
