Shotgun / Version Template

Is there a token in the Version Template that can be used to pull the filename?

Generally our Version Name matches the file name that it came from.

For instance a version we submit might look like:
project_sq010_s010_light_character01_v001_ah

But all we can get out of the version templates are:
project - sq010_s010 - light - andrewh

Artists have to manually type in project_sq010_s010_light_character01_v001_ah or they have to copy/paste it from the filename in the browser.

It would be great to have a “<” button like the submission scripts or a token option to auto-populate the filename.

I’m not sure, but Jon should be back on Tuesday with an answer. I’ll send him a note to take a look at this.

Sorry it took me a while to get to this, but unfortunately the answer is no. It’s kinda hidden away in our docs under Shotgun configuration stuff (thinkboxsoftware.com/deadlin … Connection), but the tokens that are currently available are as follows:

I’ve also added support for a ${jobname} placeholder (that pulls the Deadline job name), which will be in the next service pack. We’ve already received a feature request for this specifically, so we’ll have a look at the possibility of a filename placeholder, but that would be dependent on individual submitters, and would be entirely unavailable when submitting from the Monitor, so I’m not making any promises

Cheers,
