slave crashes Beta 9 & 12 After Effects CC Mac Os X

Hi,

I’m having constant slave crashes after frames complete rendering through After Effects CC. I have tried Beta 9 and 12 and both crash after the frame completes rendering. Its a very simple test scene. The Operating System is Mac os 10.8.3 & 10.9.

The slaves do not crash when rendering Maya 2013 jobs

attached is the system crash log.

and here is the slave report:

Do you have the slave log from the session where it crashed? It can show us the last thing the slave did before dying. To find the log folder, just select Help -> Explore Log Folder from the Slave UI on the machine. Then find the log from the session where it crashed.

Thanks!

I may have a semi fix for this crash, by turning on Reload Plugin Between Tasks I haven’t had nearly as many crashes. is there a way to have this turned on in the After Effects submit script?

I’ve still had a couple of crashes but I can actually get render jobs through now!

Please let me know if you come up with a solution to this error

Thanks
Juri

Thanks for the log! I noticed that the slave version is 6.1.53441, which is still beta 9. Perhaps you forgot to upgrade the clients after upgrading the repository to beta 12? If so, try upgrading and rendering again with beta 12 and let us know if you still get the crashes.

You can modify the AE submitter to set the “Reload Plugin Between Tasks” value to true for every job, so we can help you with that if it’s still necessary. It’s weird though that you only get this crash after an AE render. We don’t even keep AE running between frames, so it’s interesting that reloading the plugin makes a difference…
