Testing out C4D and AE with Deadline, and I’m getting task startup times ranging from 30 seconds to 6 minutes. This doesn’t seem right to me, but I’m not sure exactly what’s going on. Are there any troubleshooting steps i could take to see if I can’t speed things up a bit? All clients are on Macs, not as a service.

Thanks for reaching out. What time are you comparing it with? The easiest test will be to login into the render node which is taking time to startup render and render directly on that render node. Can you share example job reports with me here. Here’s how you get to the Job Reports:
