Earlier posts about this issue show that it was resolved for the newer max versions, however, after updating to max 2024 the issue is back. The view to render option is no longer transferred correctly, instead, the selected viewport is rendered no matter the render settings. Max 2023 does not have this issue. Also, submitting through Deadline using max 2024 works fine and renders the correct viewport.
Could this be an issue with my settings after an update or a recurring bug?
Deadline version 10.3.1.3
Max 2024 version 26.1.0.2270
A job submitted through the SMTD renders the active viewport, so whichever was selected last before the submission. In the render settings, it can be specified which viewport to render, in this scenario, it’s the camera, and the specified viewport selection then is locked. This is the way I’m setting up the camera viewport to render, and as far as I’m aware, it’s the only way to override the active viewport.
How could I check the items in the plugin configuration and if it prints ViewPort?
Hey, sorry about the naïve questions here I am no 3dsMax expert. When you say view port I get that the layer has viewport in it? And where do you select it in the render setting?
