I believe the SMTD code is not handling the new Tile Assembler submission code correctly, which make only 1 Tile Assembler Job even for multiple RE’s. (seen as individual tasks in the frame list in Deadline, instead of the old way of submitting many individual Tile Assembler jobs for each RE, which was messy!)
Essentially, using Max2011x64, VRay 1.5, with the VRay VFB enabled and ALL RE’s disabled individually BUT globally the RE’s are ACTIVE, then SMTD submits a dependent Tile Assembler Job which not only contains the main beauty pass but also the RE’s which is incorrect, as by using the VRay VFB, the RE’s are placed into the VRay VFB output as a multi-channel EXR.
This setup is of course different for VRay 2.x, so both versions of VRay need to be handled by SMTD.

Based on a few quick tests, it would seem like for both 1.x and 2.x, we would just not submit the RE assembly if the VRay frame buffer is enabled. Does this sound correct?
