Edit: The Draft event plugin was turned off facepalm . It’s working now!
Hi guys,
I only ran a full pipeline test today, after making some modifications to the integrated submitter scripts and the Monitor submitter scripts (for Maya, Max, Houdini and Draft).
Anyway, I noticed that if we tick “submit dependent Draft job” from within 3dsmax or Maya the Draft job actually never gets submitted. The render job gets submitted and finishes eventually, then nothing else happens. If I then submit a Draft job based on that job, everything is hunkydory, but but no love if we’re trying to submit it all in one go from within the Max/Maya applications.
I haven’t tested Houdini yet, pending Simeon’s other question .
I assumed this failure was because of my own modifications, but since 3dsmax is behaving exactly the same as Maya, and I haven’t touched the 3dsmax submitter scripts, I’m thinking that something might be wrong elsewhere.
We’re getting no error messages anywhere, but the “submission successful” window doesn’t make mention of Draft either.
Help?
Cheers,
Daniel
Hello Daniel,
Glad to hear it was something simple. Let us know if you need anything else.
Hi!
Just ran into the same issue (thx for posting the solution!). Would it be possible to add a warning to the submission GUIs telling the user that the draft events aren’t enabled, when they try to submit a draft template?
Cheers,
Sebastian
