[Solved] Licensing Firewall - Global/Local

Hey team,

I finally go my hands on a floating license for Deadline for the farm. I’m having a bit of difficulty setting it up on my license server, and I’m not sure if it’s due to the firewall in place here. I’m planning on running the lmgrd server off of 27010/tcp as I have the standard Autodesk license server running of of 27000/tcp.

Do 27010 and 2708 need to be opened up to the public in order for things to work? Currently 27010 and 2708 are open internally, but the license server isn’t starting up. It keeps giving the error thinkbox: The desired vendor daemon is down. (-97,121).

Any help is appreciated!

Problem has been solved. I was using the Autodesk license server (which fit the requirements) but didn’t have the Thinkbox vendor setup. Installed the Thinkbox license server and all is well. Also fixed a port mishap with the network team (I left out a 0 in the port request).
