Deadline Version: 6.1.0.54062 R
Windows 7
We experienced this glitch in Beta 4 & 10, now in Beta 14 it’s back. I was watching this render when it finished and the status changed to “Queued” in the Status Column (see attached pic). Even though all the frms are rendered and complete. This is the first time we’ve experienced this glitch in Beta 14. This time, I can say that the job was originally submitted with frms chuncked in fives. I un-chuncked the frms about 20mins into the render. Again, there’s no way to change the status. Unable to “complete job”, “fail job”, or " suspend job". Only option now is to delete the job.
It looks like this is the cause of the problem, and it’s probably related to the way we update a job’s internal task state counts when modifying the chunk size. I’ve logged this as a bug, but we likely won’t have time to fix this before 6.1 is released because we would have to change some core code. If it doesn’t get fixed for 6.1, it will be a priority for 6.2.
Note that this should be the only situation where this issue can come up now. The other situation that could cause this situation (and that was more common) was fixed.
Cheers,
Ryan
Just an update. It looks like we’ll be able to address this in time for the 6.1 release.
