I have a scene where I had been using Stoke with a PRTLoader (rf particles) as the distribution and the velocity field. This was working, but I wanted to try something else aesthetically. So I was trying to use a Frost of the PRTLoader as the distribution source.
This kept hanging up Max when I tried to simulate, not always on the same frame, either, but generally close.
In the Task Manager Max was using one thread’s worth of CPU, but showing no memory changes. I tried changing setting both in Stoke and Frost to try to make it work.
I now have another test scene where I loaded in the same particles, and go from Frost to PRTVolume and then to Stoke. This is working. Any thoughts on a setting I should check?
