when i read the stoke documentation it seems like when i use a PRT Loader as distribution source for my Stoke object i should be able to pick up all the channels that are part of the particle sequence loaded in my prt loader but how ? shouldn’t all the channels be listed here ?
Given that the official release version was 2.0.12, I would suspect so
I tested it here and my 2.0.18 picks up all channels from a PRT Loader source, including custom ones created via Magma on the stack (I added a channel “Bobo” with a value of blue, and it appeared in the Stoke channels list.)
In version 1.x, the channel list was only used to control which channels to acquire. In 2.x.12 and higher, it also controls which channels to save to the cache PRT sequence. So while the simulation will still always generate ID, Velocity, Age and Lifespan internally during the simulation, unchecking them from the list in my build will remove them from the PRT output to produce smaller files.
Do you need the link for the latest download? Any reason you are not running the newest version?
