I suspect that nMesh is a form of a particle system within Maya Nucleus.
The whole idea of Nucleus was to unify collisions of meshes, particles, cloth etc. by handling them as the same thing.
We would have to explicitly filter out nMeshes, or provide a checkbox that enables/disables the rendering of nMesh vertices as particles.
Note that in Krakatoa MX, the vertices of ANY mesh or spline can be rendered by Krakatoa if desired…

Hi petkovic, The problem with rendering the vertices has been fixed. The fix will be available in the next build. Thank you for the awesome bug report!
