I installed Deadline 2.7 and various .NET service packs, but always appear an error message when I try to submit a job:
COM Object with CLSID {XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX} is either not valid or not registered.
How fix that?
Thanks
Which application plugin are you trying to use, and are you submitting from within Deadline Monitor or from within a different application?
Thanks,
-Mark
I have exactly the same problem…!
Mike
I using Deadline Monitor…
I have a feeling this is something to do with vbscript, which is the scripting language we are currently using for the monitor submission scripts. We will be switching to Python for Deadline 3.0, but of course this doesn't help your situation now.
I've tried googling the problem, but I haven't found anything useful yet. I'm back in the office on Tuesday, at which point I could try posting a submission script that you could run to help debug the problem.
If you guys can let me know which plugins you're submitting to (3dsmax, Maya, etc), I can post debug versions of those scripts. Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience!
Cheers,
- Ryan
Hi Rafael,
Try installing the Windows Script Control package, which you can
download from here, to see if that solves the problem:

Mike here found that installing this package fixed the problem for him,
so hopefully you have the same luck. Let us know how it goes!
Cheers,
- Ryan
