Task Reports corrupted

It seems after upgrading from 6.0b8 to 6.0b9, live upgrade with jobs queued
we don’t have any log reports anymore

This is what we get instead

The part about the bz2 file is common to all reports

any thought on this, except resetting the database ?

by the way which would be the better way to reset in case it’s needed ?

[code]Breaking Change Between Beta 8 and Beta 9

In beta 8 and earlier, the job’s plugin info settings were stored separately from the rest of the job’s properties. Because of the way we commit job properties to the database, this prevented the Monitor from properly committing plugin info settings when changed from the Job Properties dialog. The fix in beta 9 was to store the plugin info settings with the rest of the job properties. However, this is a breaking change, and so jobs submitted with an earlier version of Deadline 6 will not work with beta 9 or later. If you try to render a job from beta 8 or earlier with beta 9, you will get errors because Deadline won’t be able to find any plugin info for the job.[/code]

I assume this is another symptom of this. Also when you say “live update” do you mean auto-update? I tried auto-update for b9 and nothing worked, uninstalled, manually reinstalled and it fixed all of my issues.

Live update means upgrading the repository in place

All clients are script removed and installed right after that
Autoupdate is disabled

Can you check to see if this directory actually exists?

The repository installer for beta 9 shouldn’t have wiped these report directories.

d2\7 arbo does not exist

Just thinking of it, in fact the whole directory is empty

Can you try running the repository installer again? That should repair any missing report folders. After running the installer, check to see if that folder now exists.
