how often is this folder cleaned?
c:\Users\XXX\AppData\Local\Thinkbox\Deadline7\temp\
and is there a way to make this happen right after the file is submitted to deadline? (big files and small disks on a few old machines)

I’m not entirely sure to be honest. I’ll throw it in as a feature request.
We should be able to handle that quickly in the submitters for now. What applications are you submitting from?
We are submitting from Rpmanager (from max)
I found an option to change this but it could not be set lower than 1 day …
so we are trying to edit the “SubmitMaxToDeadline_Functions.ms” to only save 1 temp file, or delete them all, but so far nu luck…
I would prefer to be able to turn this off, or just set it to 1 or 2 files
mostly to be nice to the few users on old machines, who struggle with space …
FYI. We recently added an option to the SMTD menu to cleanup automatically every time it is opened. So, if your issue is with 3dsMax-SMTD submission, we have this already solved in Deadline v7.2, currently in beta.
I think the problem is that we submit using Rpmanager, and can work an entire day without restarting it …
so it would be nice if the cleanup could be triggered after each pass was submitted, and not only on “open” hope this makes sense!?
again, this is not a big thing, just a small annoyance for those of us with big scenes and small drives (apparently size does matter)
Right. I’ll have a chat with Bobo to see if we can do something ‘special’ here for RPM cases. Thanks for the feedback.
Sure, I will take a look at what’s possible.
Thanks guys … if you are ever in Aarhus Denmark the beer is on me
