Im launching an image with GI (using MR) so i have to use pixel padding, the weird thing is if Im not using pixel pading i got the correct gamma for the rendered image, but the edges make artifacts, so when i use pixel padding the gamma of the rendered image automatically changes to 1, when im using a gamma of 2,2, and doesnt matter the file format for saving (tried rpf, tiff, tga, OpenEXR…) is there anyway to correct this?
This is a known issue. The padding is necessary if you aren’t pre-calculating your GI, but in order to support padding, we make a copy of the rendered bitmap so that we can crop it. However, we haven’t found out why the custom gamma settings aren’t maintained when copying the bitmap. At this point, the only known workaround for this case is to pre-calculate the GI before submitting the render to Deadline.
