Trapped SEH Exception in RenderFrame(): Access Violation

Hello all,

We are getting some irregular errors on Deadline, sometimes they return Trapped SEH. Rendering with VRay 3.70.01 and Deadline 10.28.0.2 Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Did you manage to track down what was causing this?

@j_man Are you having different V-ray versions setup on your workstation/server and your render node.? We have seen this before when Deadline tries to use an older version of V-ray to render a V-ray Next job.

If this is the case, could you try submitting the same job using Vray 3.70.01 Workstation? This could confirm if it is caused by version mismatch on Vray installations, in which case upgrading the render nodes to Vray Next could be a solution.

Hello Deadliners!

Apologies for missing the responses on this. I appreciate the efforts. I don’t remember how this was sorted, @kavi we always try and keep the same version of VRay everywhere, but it is possible that 3.71 was installed on the workstation and 3.6(3?) on the farm as we transitioned but time has passed now and of course things are all different. If it happens again I’ll be back.
