trigger deadline update

Hey guys,

What is the easiest, least intrusive way to trigger a deadline update from python / command line?
I want to put a safety into our submission tools that first checks the version, and if its not the latest, trigger an update pre submission.

We still have really old builds of 6.0 lingering on artist workstations who either dont have the launcher running, or just simply never open the monitor through the launcher.

I was going to start a new thread asking how to do this, but since I found this one, I’d like to know how to manually trigger an auto-upgrade as well.

In Deadline 7, the launcher will have a new “-upgrade” that can be used to trigger an upgrade if one is available. If another launcher is already running, that launcher will perform the upgrade instead.
