two rendering?

Hi,

I've got one machine dedicated to rendering, is it possible to have more than one job active at once in the free mode?

Hi James,



Deadline uses a first-in, first-out approach to scheduling, so in your

case what’s likely happening is that your two machines will work on one

job until it’s done before moving on to the next job. If you set your

job’s machine limit to 1, then it will only take up one machine at a

time and leave the second machine open for another job.



You’ll get better overall performance if you don’t use the machine

limit, since a slave will never sit idle until there are no jobs left,

but using the machine limit will allow you to push multiple jobs

simultaneously through the queue.
