Undesired Shotgrid version creation on maya job submission

Software Version:
Maya 2020.4
Deadline 10.1

Heya!
I am trying to work through the DL/Shotgrid/Maya integrations but can’t find a way to submit a job to deadline without it creating a shotgrid version. The “Create New Version” box is unticked and I would expect that if this is the case that no version would be created. Even still, the event still creates a SG version. Is this the expected outcome or is something acting up?
Cheers,
Stephen

Possible red herring but upon closing and opening a submission dialogue, the Pipeline booleans down the bottom are replaced with a string ragarding the local temp python API’s cache. Removing the cache causes the Pipeline booleans to return. Just weary that some cache is overwritting the options selected in the Pipeline Tools dialogue.

Hello @Stephen_Scollay

If you are still having the issue it might be that the Shotgrid event plugin is overriding the job submission setting. What is the value of below settings in Monitor> Tools> Configure Events> Shotgun:

If this is set to False, check the plugin info and job info params for Shotgrids job from Monitor> Right menu option of Job> Submission params>Check here both in plugin info and job info if there is a values of creating SG version at submission time and what is it set to.

Heya, thanks for the reply. The Create Version on Submission was set to true. I am now experimenting with it set to false but with so many potential failure points this early on it may take a bit sorry. In the meantime, have you got any tips on fixing the UI issue in the submission dialogue?
