Uninstall Deadline Repository 10 - Missing uninstall.exe

Hi!

I need to uninstall Deadline Repository 10.2.0.10 from our old server PC, but the Deadline Repository directory \path\DeadlineRepository10\ no longer exists with the uninstall.exe to do so.

Is there another way to do this?

If the DeadlineRepository10 directory is gone, then all that’s left is the DeadlineDatabase10 folder and the Deadline 10 Database service. You could remove both of those manually and you’d be all clear.

What are all the folder paths I should find to delete all data manually? Any Registry entries?

Also, while we’re at it, do you know what processes/tasks outside MongoDB I should End before deleting?

Assuming default paths the repository installer sets up in:
C:\DeadlineRepository10
C:\DeadlineDatabase10

And the only process that’s running would be mongod.exe as managed under the Deadline Database Service, so those will need to be stopped.

I don’t know about any registry keys however.

I thought I’d share in this post what I found, in case someone finds it useful.

I ended the MonoDB process, deleted all data folders, backed up my Registry and deleted the Registry entries below. Then I restarted the server PC and it is operational, thus far. Deleting the Registry entries removed the program from the “Add or remove programs” list and firewall entries.

As for the Registry paths, I found several Thinkbox, Deadline and AWSPortal entries. Please note this is not a thorough and all inclusive list. You can follow this list, but do your own full Registry search and backup your Registry before editing.

I still have my Registry backup ready, just in case.
