In currently trying to get the 1.1.1.49320 build to uninstall but it throws an error for the uninstaller
Can you walk me through a fix or how to pull it all out so I can try to reinstall for 2013
Thanks

What I usually do is: while in Admin mode, I rename the folder “Genome MX” found under C:\Program Files\Thinkbox to something else, like “Genome MX 1.0”, and then install the newer version. In fact, I have dozens of installs of various releases and betas hanging around.
Of course, the above is quite hacky, but I haven’t have any problems, esp. when installing a newer build.
Then again, the only connection between Max and the installation is the plugin.ini entry.
If you already have Genome 1.1 installed, you could just add the entry to it in the plugin.ini file manually. There is no need to run the installer just for that, esp. given the crappy way 2013 handles the plugin.in file locations…
Locate the file “C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2013\en-US\plugin.ini” while in Admin mode and add
Genome=C:\Program Files\Thinkbox\Genome MX\3dsMax2013
The same applies to 3ds Max 2014. Same link, same file.
