We just lost all of our slave licenses but if I look at the FlexLM license manager:
Most say “The Desired Vendor Daemon is Down” some say “Expired / Invalid”.

Have you updated to a recent beta build and you need to update your license server version to flexlm v11.12?

For the sake of future generations the problem was a conflict with Nuke’s license server.
The solution was to open my Thinkbox_License.lic file and at the end of the line add ’ 27001’
That pushes the Thinkbox license server onto a slightly different port from the Nuke license server. You’ll then have to restart your deadline slaves.
Also if you look at the Slave’s console you’ll get the full license error.
