Is it possible to run the VFB and apply post effects through Deadline? Or to save the view / image from the VFB at anytime (or even when cancelling a job?)
I’m just wondering if there is anyway to apply colour correction or bloom etc to a render, is it possible to add this option in to the submitter with the ability to either open the VFB and tweak the setting before applying or apply a preset?
I think today you could start playing around with the “Run MaxScript” options. Considering we can run a post-load script it should be possible to call those functions.
Not sure how you might make a viewer for the VFB data, but this is the first I’ve seen this API.
Thanks Edwin, what about tomorrow? Don’t say tomorrow never comes!
I’ll have a look at that at some point, will be a very extended workflow
export vrscene
render standalone tiles to vrimg
assemble tiles to vrimg
apply VFB preset to image(s)
convert vrimg into exr/tiff
funnily enough I had a VFB tutorial from Evermotion pop up in my feed yesterday
I think as demand dictates, sure! Unfortunately we’re never out of neat things to work on so it has to compete with the rest of the dev queue. We’ll see what the demand is here and go from there.
