Playing with some simple sims.
Added wind as a field source and animated scale property over time. Also tried moving the wind around.
It does not seem to affect Stoke - it takes only initial value at starting point of the sim.
Same happens with Ember - it only takes initial frame and does not update simulation values from the 1+ frames
Any easy workarounds or fixes on this one? Would be really helpful
It works for me. I made a plane, and a Wind with turbulence 2 and scale animated from 1.0 to 0.01 over 30 frames. Here is the result:

Could you have forgotten to set Turbulence to an appropriate value? Perhaps you set the scale to an inappropriate range as well. I find scale in [0.01 to 0.25] to be best when working with Stoke.
Guys, there are two Scale properties - one in Wind, one in Stoke.
Which one are you talking about?
Animating the position of the Wind over time changes Stoke.
Animating the Scale of Stoke will change the influence of the velocity.
Animating the Scale of the Wind will change the effect of the Turbulence.
It started to work for me with the latest build. You made my day.
With previous it really did not work expected.
