Video co-Pilot - Optical Flares Pop-up - After Effects

Hi,
The new Video co-Pilot plugin, Optical Flares allows 5 rendernode licences per workstation licence. If a deadline slave does not contain a licence, then the following popup dialog appears. I guess the best thing to do, would be to fail any AE job which has this dialog pop-up. Also, if the job is marked as failed, then we need to make sure that this window disappears or the “OK” button is pressed first to make sure the window goes away, if Deadline doesn’t already take care of this child window? Would be good if in the error log for the job, it indicates that this is the reason for the task to be marked as failed!

Thanks,

Hi Mike,

The After Effects plugin already supports popup handling, so if Deadline detects this popup, it should just fail the job and dump the contents of this popup to the error log (which will indicate the licensing problem). Failing the job will kill after effects, which should result in this popup being taken down with it.

Because this is a popup that we want Deadline to fail the job on, it’s unnecessary to add an explicit handler for it.

Cheers,
