vista 64 and killing slave from monitor

hi , i have installed a vista 64 os and put deadline slave on it…i installed the 64 bit client but i render using maya 2008 32 bit.
the machine get the job but do not start the render and do not leave any error message in the monitor.

the only error i can see say this:

0: WARNING: Program C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\Maya2008\bin\Render.exe did not close cleanly, it is being terminated forcefully.

it is like if he doesn’t like the program files(x86) path…
let me know if have you already deal with this…

and then another weird issue is that i cannot turn off deadline client using the monitor…
this was working fine under deadline 2.7.

Hi Mat,

Can you double check whether or not you can view errors for this job from the Monitor? This looks like a standard error message, and I can’t think of why you wouldn’t be able to view it from the Monitor. You can view the reports by right-clicking on the job in the Monitor and selecting Job Reports → View Error Reports.

This error is being printed out by Renderman (you can tell from the ‘rman’ part in the error message), so Deadline is just the messenger in this case:

Have you tried disabling Strict Error Checking in the MayaCmd/MayaBatch plugin configuration? To do so, select Tools → Configure Plugins in the Monitor while in super user mode. That should allow this job to go through.

For your other problem, have you enabled remote administration? You can do so from the Repository Options in the Monitor under the Launcher Settings. This is disabled by default, because unless you’re behind a firewall, it could be a security risk.

ok solved installed the software in another folder…so i avoid the program files (x86) name in the path!
and solved the other error too:)
