Vue Rendercow Spawner kills Rendercow

I took the Vray Spawner plugin and converted it into a Vue Rendercow plugin. (attached).

However when it launches a Vue render cow, it immediately closes. Any idea why?

If I take the path: “C:\Program Files\e-on software\Vue 11 Infinite RenderCow\Vue 11 Infinite RenderCow.exe” and simply execute it the exe will continue to run.
VueRenderCow.zip (2.31 KB)

Is there a “Vue 11 Infinite RenderCow.com” file in the same directory as the “Vue 11 Infinite RenderCow.exe” file? If so, try using that instead to see if that makes a difference.

Cheers,

Sorry, it’s not .com, it’s .eon (“Vue 11 Infinite RenderCow.eon”).

I don’t see a .eon. So what I did was write a .bat file that says.

Vue 11Infinite RenderCow.exe Pause

That seems to work. Although I have to deploy to every machine. I suspect it’s the deadline script though that’s killing the EXE. Maybe it restarts momentarily and that is detected as an exit? Is it possible to do a time-out to ensure the .exe process doesn’t spawn a clone of itself or seomthing?

P.S. shipping Render Cow Spawner would be a nice feature. It’s very much like the Vray Spawner (hence why I ripped off your code for that).

Can you start up “Vue 11Infinite RenderCow.exe” manually, and then use the task manager to see the command line being used? You’ll probably need to go to View -> Select Columns in the task manager to make the Command Line column visible. If “Vue 11Infinite RenderCow.exe” is launching another process and then exiting, the Command Line column should show how the other process is being launched.

Thanks!

If I run it, the command line path is the same. C:\program blah blah balh\rendercow.exe
