I have one machine out of four that gets a MAC address of FF:FF:FF:FF:FF and won’t WOL. If I edit the slaveinfo file to the correct MAC address, it wakes up fine, but then gets overwritten by whatever to the FF:FF:FF:FF:FF.
Its a HP server running server 2008 R2. Any idea what would do this or have I could help/prevent it?
I remember having a similar problem like this and I think it was fixed by editing the hosts file
removing the ::1 and adding the IP it used
or was it by disabling IPv6?

Yep, disabling IPv6 solved it.
We’ll take a look at this. Obviously we don’t want to force you to disable IPv6 to use WOL.
