Hi !
The web service seems to be running an unusual amount of CPU resources after updating to Deadline_8.0.0.46.
Are we the only one experiencing that issue ?
Thanks,

Thanks for reporting this, I’m seeing this behavior as well. Just out of curiosity, are you able to quit the Web Service through the command line?
I’m not sure what you mean by “quit” through the command line. I can’t type anything when the webservice is running. Ctrl+C isn’t working if that’s what you are referring to.
Yeah that is what I meant, thanks for checking that out. We will have a fix in for that in the next beta.
Does this affect the linux build too? If it does, i’d hold off on updating till the next beta comes out.
It affects all builds in the current beta unfortunately.
I’m assuming you guys already know about this since I didn’t see anything mentioning a fix in the release notes, but the issue persists in build 47.
Not sure if it helps narrow it down, but we do not have this issue on linux with the latest build (ignore deadline7’s webservice, its under heavy use):
We skipped the build that it was reported about, so maybe this never affected the linux builds?
Our fix regarding user input for the web service was thought to have fixed this problem as well. We’ll look into it on our end, would you be able to provide a log of the offending web service?
I took a screenshot of the issue and realized the server which is running D8 Pulse and the web-server didn’t get updated to b47.
So I take it back b47 DOES FIX the issue ! I apologize for the confusion. Problem solved, thanks !
