If I remember correctly, the minimum version currently supported by Stoke and Krakatoa MX is Fume FX 3.0.2 (3.0.1 has a bug, 3.0.1 is not supported). Current version is 3.5.2 I think, and it is also supported, obviously. For FumeFX Color channel support, 3.5.x is required.
