Why no EXRs with Quicktime?

I’m not really up on the codec stuff, but I never had a problem making quicktime movies from EXRs in Nuke.

Are you referring to the Quicktime Submission Job type? I suspect it’s because they use Apple’s Quicktime application which doesn’t support EXR sequences. You could use Draft to create Quicktimes from EXRs.

We do indeed use the Quicktime from Apple, but yes, Draft is a good choice for this need.
