Hi
Why are there no g3 instances available in the spot fleet configuration dialog? The only one I can find for GPU rendering is p3 which is more expensive and seems unnecessary for redshift.
Thanks!

Hi!
We do currently have g3.4xlarge, g3.8xlarge, and g3.16xlarge in the Instance Types. It might be easier to find if you sort by Instance Type.
Alternatively if you press the GPU button in the top right, under target capacity it’ll add g3.4xlarge, g3.8xlarge, and g3.16xlarge instances to your Selected instance types.
Hope this helps!
Which region are you spawning these spot instances in? GPU is a pretty highly contested resource these days from machine learning. You’re usually best off using “us-west-2” or “eu-west-1”, but please make sure your infrastructure and bucket are in the correct regions if you’re moving your compute. It costs money to access S3 from instances in a different region. Check Data Transfer OUT From Amazon S3 To for up to date prices there.
Hi,
I did try the GPU button. Still no g3 instances. Perhaps it is a region issue as eamsler suggests?
Oh yes I can see them in eu-west-1
Thanks!
