Hi guys,
After using Stoke on our first project, I have a couple of wishes.
It would be great if the Stoke Field object solver had a “Cache Dirty” flag that was set when changes are made without being re-simmed.
This would mean that you could add a checkbox to the Stoke object that says something like: “Simulate any out of date dependent fields first”
When we are quickly iterating through looks, it is super tedious to be toggling between the Stoke obj and the Field all the time. It would also allow us to script a generic “Sim all the things” button
Secondly, if you had this working, it would be great to be able to sim in semi-parallel - ie. Sim 5 frames of the field, sim 5 frames of Stoke, then draw the viewport. repeat. Of course you’d need twice as much RAM because you would want to keep everything in mem at once. But that shouldn’t be a problem for most jobs.
This would mean that we could stop early if it starts looking bad without wasting a lot of time simming the whole field sequence length.
