Back in v1.0.0 days, the vertices of the sample sphere were rendered.
I think it stopped working when we update the shading code in later builds, but I don’t remember what the real cause was. I suspect Darcy knows…
So it is not that we have to hard-code particles, we have to get the shading working again. Not sure if that’s possible.
