Could really use some speculars on a shot I’m working on now. Even if the renderer itself didn’t make them, evaluating a normal based on the relative density gradient would be useful for me. Thank you.
Box3 let me make this, but rendertime was 20 minutes, so it’s not ideal.
Another one
This should be the last one. Can't render Realflow yet, so this is my aweful attempt at making something fluid in PFlow. Obviously, you wouldn't get speculars once the blood hit the invisible vodka, but it was a test to see how the speculars would move and be affecting by changing densities.
Ok, so it won't let me upload. Oh well...
We are currently refactoring the storage method used for particles in order to allow for optional channels. The first order of business once that is complete will be to add support for normals and speculars.
Normals was going to be another request, though like the Z depth it’s not going to be very straightforward.
David asked me to try a compressed upload, so here’s my attempt.
EDIT: seemed to work. I think I know what the problem might have been. I had an apostrophe (’) in the name.
Very nice work!
So you created your animation in RealFlow and then emitted particles off the resulting mesh and rendered them with Krakatoa?
MAC
No, this was all pflow. Event based particle systems pretty much suck at fluids, but beta 2 didn’t work with realflow. I’ll try beta 3 to see how the RF rendering works.
There is no mesh.
Chad,
Thanks for your persistence! The clip looks great.
(Yes, single quotes seem to wreak havok on this webboard software. I've seen problems with them in subject lines, but yours was the first report I've had of file name issues.)
