- Camera placement in 3ds max of Kinect location.
- (Real world scale?) Is that possible? Does the kinect know how far away something actually is?
- Integration with Canon USB SDK so that a 5D could be remote controlled to fire off high resolution RGB data in sync.
- Multi-Kinect Auto-Matching. (I’m thinking like 2 Kinects on a 5’ Wide Bar with a 5D in the middle)
Thank you for your feedback!

and 2) We’re currently working on SLAM and camera placement.
-
I think the particles should be in real-world scale now. Please let us know if they’re incorrect.
-
We’ll need to take a look at this.
-
We were using a checkerboard in the overlapping field of view of the the two Kinects, but I’m not sure if that would work in your case. We’ll need to look into this further.
- I think it’s exactly double. We have a 6’ table but it’s coming out as about 150 units.
-
Checkerboard would work. I just used an intern.
-
Snapshot button to just capture the current point cloud as a still.
- Exposure lock of the RGB camera so that exposure and white-balance doesn’t change.
I could not reproduce this issue. Could you please tell us your units setup?
(Go to Customize->Units Setup… In the Units Setup dialog, I have: Display Unit Scale: Metric - Meters.
Click System Unit Setup button. In the System Unit Setup dialog, I have: 1 Unit = 1.0 Meters.)
“Generic Units”
Although I see that Max’s generic units are actually cm not inches. Weird.
