Is there a way to save out different layers of to export? So for instance maybe I have an xMesh layer that’s just one character etc can I set that up and another layer for the props and then have XMesh remember those layers? Like render layers but for geometry.
I want to make sure that I understand your request. You want to save an object using XMesh. Then, when you load the file, you want the object to appear in its original layer?
No, I want a way in Maya (or perhaps max too?) where you can quickly setup XMesh to output a group of objects. So for instance setup 10 selection sets and then have XMesh output each selection set as a single mesh. So like a render pass system except instead of rendering, meshing.
