Yeah, thank you very much for this shinny new version. I will test it these days and get back to you with feedback.

Best,
Christian

Finally I found the time to test your latest release of XMesh for Nuke.

First of all it works great. I was able to load different types of caches (rigid body, scattered TP and cloth) into Nuke 7 and 8.

Here are the issues I encountered in both versions:

  • XMesh caches with sub-samples, Nuke crashes when frame outside the cache range is loaded
  • Only ‘single frame’ mode works for me
  • It would be nice if the XMesh cache would be automatically loaded with the correct up-axis

We will move on and add XMesh to our pipeline so we can provide you more valuable feedback in the future. I’m looking forward to future releases.

Thank you,
Christian

Hi Christian, I was wondering if you could elaborate on this? I’m working on a bug fix, and I want to make sure I’m fixing the correct bug. (I know I’m fixing bugs, but I want to know if I’m fixing this one.)

  • What are seeing in the other modes that classify them as “not working”? (Some of the things I was/am seeing: (a) sometimes not displayed, (b) displayed but not animating, (c) animating but not smoothly. I’ve fixed (a) and (b), except for the case where “use playback graph” is selected but not set properly. (c) is still in progress, but falls under another bug in my bug list.
  • Do you have “use playback graph” selected? Is the playback graph something reasonable?
  • Is there anything else you can think of (or remember, given how long ago you posted the bug) that I should know about?

Thanks!
Andrea

PS: I’m on this project full time for the next while, so bug fixes should be coming out much faster now. Sorry for the wait!
