It’s been a while since I’ve done any tile rendering but through the deadline submitter in 3DS Max I’ve enabled “SINGLE FRAME TILE Rendering” and submitted it to the render farm.
I’ve set the save directory through the V-Ray framebuffer.
The job renders on the farm but none of the tiles appear to be saving in the directory, so the tile assembly naturally fails because it can’t find anything. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Max

Funny thing, @mikeowen works with us these days and he may have just implemented it while I wasn’t looking. I think the V-Ray framebuffer goes around our frame saving code in Lightening and your lack of output frames might be a configuration issue…
Fun thing from an internal ticket here back in April 2018:
After much frustration I deleted my user profile and created a new one. After that everything works as expected and all the Render Elements were saved. I have no idea what the problem was but it was definitely not the SMTD. Maybe some old settings/INI Files/scripts/plugins or what else…
Sounds good. To be fair, I think the user pref deletion would have just reset the SMTD settings, so to save you some sanity (sorry I hadn’t considered this last week) just move the “3dsmax” themed files from “C:\Users[username]\AppData\Local\Thinkbox\Deadline10\settings” somewhere else.
