With the release of AWS Deadline Cloud came a new UBL system that is essentially a VPC endpoint that acts as a license server. It’s got some amazing magic behind it, and for the products it supports it will just show up on your AWS bill. It won’t work outside of a VPC, but for those using the Spot Event Plugin or AWS Portal to render on AWS, this should be a great alternative to having to buy licenses up-front. This is also especially nice for those who need to restrict outbound traffic.
It doesn’t come with all of the same product support, and you do have to do some manual work, but it should cut down on the manual effort of refilling your licenses.
