911 - Requesting help from support for UBL Licenses

Hello!

We are quite in a rush and are requesting help from Thinkbox/Aws support but we didnt had any answers yet. Some I’m poking here to give visibility to support team:

During my testing, our Spot Instance raised the errors:

2025-04-18 14:25:16: Licensing Error: Info: Throttled Communication; 7.62 s remaining

2025-04-18 14:25:16: Could not checkout UBL credits for "houdini".

But the thing is: our Customer Portal shows we have more than enough credits.

Please help

Just found this post that seems to be exactly our problem

@karpreet I’m just not sure what to put under the Map Add-ons “Qty to Add”

We were able to fix this issue by following the thread I mentionned previously.

After that we needed to update the CA certificates because of this Thread:
https://forums.thinkboxsoftware.com/t/new-certificate-files-required-for-usage-based-licensing-ubl-on-macos-windows-and-linux/33355/4

We are still having issues with UBL licenses

We are having these logs:

We haven’t used the aws cloud spot fleet in a while and we’re still on v10.3.x. Justin’s article said to upgrade to 10.4.0.13 if possible. I wonder if you’re still on a version < 10.4.0.13, do you need to update the certs on the license forwarder as well?

We updated the certs file everywhere.

At first we were able to get licenses for 10 minutes, and after that we had the error log mentionned previously.

I’m really starting the believe there are some discrepancy between our credits and what we see on our Customer platform…

A couple years ago, one of the support peeps posted a script to query UBL. Does that match up with what the customer UI displays?

Yes we used it to make our own Notification system when we run out of credits.

At the moment, the numbers are matching what we see on the Customer portal…
